Will Fantasy Premier League punters revel in another Pukki party?

The first international break of the 2019/20 Premier League season is almost upon us so we can be sure that Fantasy Premier League managers will be desperate to pick up as many points as possible in GW4.

A bad gameweek now will leave you kicking your heels for two long weeks, waiting for the action to get under way again, so, with the pressure really on this weekend, anything that serves as a welcome diversion should be entertained!

Fantasy Premier League betting falls into this category and we’re now privileged to see the likes of Norsk Tipping and BetCity joining Betonline, in offering a number of player matchups where the winning outcome is determined by the player that accumulates the highest number of fantasy points of the two that are pitied against each other.

We’ve had a look at the GW4 matchups and there are a couple that have certainly caught our eye.

Teemu Pukki vs Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang … Odds: 2.20/1.66 (+120/-150)

To say that FPL managers have been falling over themselves to get hold of Norwich City’s Finnish attacker would be something of an understatement. Five goals and an assist from Teemu Pukki’s first three Premier League starts mean that he is the highest scoring player in the game at this moment in time, while his fantasy valuation has also soared by half a million pounds since the salaries were published in the summer.

Pukki Party

An away trip to the London Stadium looks tricky on paper but the Hammers have the highest xGA (expected goals against) of any side in the division so Pukki will surely fancy his chances of adding to his tally.

He’s been priced as an underdog against Aubameyang who has the small matter of a North London derby to negotiate.

Pick: Teemu Pukki to score more GW4 FPL points than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Sebastien Haller vs Jamie Vardy … Odds: 1.86/1.86 (-115/-115)

Jamie Vardy boasts an impressive Premier League scoring record so it’s always a brave call to oppose him in a matchup. However, West Ham’s Sebastien Haller seems to be ticking the right boxes. He opened his account for the season with a brace in last weekend’s 3-1 win at Watford and now comes up against a Canaries’ team that have been rocked by injuries in central defence.

An ACL injury could rule Timm Klose out for the majority of the season while Christoph Zimmermann is also struggling to get back to full fitness.

Pick: Sebastien Haller to score more GW4 FPL points than Jamie Vardy

Other matchups see the big 3 premium offensive assets, namely, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Mo Salah in direct opposition while the emerging talent of Mason Mount is tasked with seeing off Chelsea team-mate and USA international Christian Pulisic.
